Notice: Elementary School Arrival and Dismissal Changes

Dear Parents,
This letter is to inform you of some changes that will be taking place to our morning drop
-off and afternoon pick-up procedures. These changes are a result of growing concern
for student safety from our bus drivers, staff, and parents.
Changes to our morning drop-off: Students that are dropped off by parents in the
morning are now directed to use the main office doors. Students will enter the office
doors and walk to breakfast or exit to the playground. The bus drop-off will remain at
the south entrance and will be reserved exclusively for the busses.
Changes to our dismissal procedures: Our dismissal times are being adjusted to
alleviate congestion that occurs at the end of the day. Grades Pre-K-6 dismiss bus students
at 3:20 and all other students are dismissed at 3:25 pm. To keep order and cut down on confusion,
parents picking up students are to wait outside the school. Please be conscientious of these
changes. Our goal is to maintain a safe environment for our children and these adjustments
are meant to better meet that goal.
