SADIE BOYSEN SCHOLARSHIP AWARD FOR ENGLISH
The Sidney A. Swensrud Scholarship Fund has been expanded to include a recipient who has shown unusual excellence in English.
The scholarship will be awarded in years (not necessarily every year) when there is a senior student deemed by the Scholarship trustees to be worthy of such an award.
This scholarship is given in honor of Sadie Boysen, who left students with a lasting impression of the beauty of our language and the need for accuracy in using it. She was an outstanding English teacher who taught in the Northwood High School in the nineteen twenties and thirties.
